ELAKS74N, a member of the "Essential" line manufactured by E&L, is one of the most detailed and realistically made AKS-74N replicas on the market. The ELs are fabricated in an authentic arms factory using modern manufacturing methods. This translates to high performance and superb quality of the external elements.

ELAKS74N is a reworked variant of the AK-74 rifle - a full-length model with a left-side, skeletonized folding stock and plywood furniture. It is ideally suited for CQB, close- and mid-distance games, and operations. This 700/933mm long replica is fed from a polymer magazine and shoots in a single and full-automatic mode.

Main elements like the body, outer barrel, dust cover, gas block, sight block, gas tube, stock, iron sights, and other small components are machined from steel. The only parts made from the polymer are the pistol grip and the magazine, while the handguard with the gas tube cover is made from plywood.
Like the original, the replica's body is machined from stamped steel for superb resistance to wear and damage. It is further covered in an anti-corrosion coating. The steel dust cover is placed in a machined groove in the gas block and secured with a spring-loaded push-button.
A standard dovetail side rail is placed on the left side of the body to attach dedicated optical sights, adapters, and scope mounts. The element is machined from steel and is solid-riveted to the receiver.
At the front, we can find a classic plywood handguard with finger swells on the sides and a hand-stop for a firm grip and comfortable handling.
The steel, left-side folding skeletonized stock provides adequate comfort and support during aiming down the sights. The open space in the stock is commonly used to carry the bandage with a rubber tourniquet for realistic immersion.
The standard AK-pattern iron sights consist of the adjustable front sight pole placed in front of the gas block and a rear sight aperture integrated with the sight block. This technical choice keeps the optimal sightline matched with a compact design. The rear sight uses an adjustable, U-notched tangent with 0–1000-meter scaling and 100-meter increments.
The 415mm long outer barrel ends with a 24x1.5 CW thread. It is outfitted with a dedicated muzzle brake that was explicitly developed for this platform. It can also use any other muzzle device with the appropriate thread.

The heart of the replica is a V3-type gearbox with a quick spring change and an ultra-compact MOSFET. V3 also has a steel cylinder, a high-speed electric motor, and a full metal hop-up chamber. All of the above translates to optimal performance out of the box and a good base for further tuning.
