It was designed with the explicit mission of enhancing certain essential features of 1911-series style handguns. It is powered by green gas, weighs 1.1kg, has a length of 232 mm, and offers a magazine capacity of 31 rounds. Hi-Capa 5.2 R uses a 122 mm long inner barrel and generates approximately 335 FPS.

Significant improvements include an ambidextrous safety lever, grip safety, high visibility iron sights, a high-capacity magazine, and thread in the barrel.
