LEAP/09 34mm 1.57” is a top-quality, lightweight optics mount developed and manufactured by Scalarworks.
The skeletonized, forward-lean mount is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy for maximum strength and the lowest possible weight. The entire frame is anodized and nitrided black for superb scratch resistance and limiting light reflections. All edges and surfaces were chamfered and radiused to ensure a slick, non-protruding, and snatch-free design.
The mount weighs 154g and places the center of the aiming point at 1.57”/39.8mm/Lower 1/3 Co-Witness height.
Two 34mm hinged optical rings provide an outstanding grip on the installed optical device. Improved construction of the rings guarantees a slim construction without protruding elements for a snatch-free design. Mk2 rings are 24mm wide with a 62mm separation and secured with four bolts with optimal torque of 20in-lbs/2.25Nm.
LEAP/09 uses the ClickDrive™ QD mechanism for efficient and rock-solid hold on the Picatinny rail. Additional shear lugs are added to the clamp section to improve lateral impact resistance and maximize stability.
