The Klarus XT12GT flashlight's high-performance LED CREE XHP35 HI D4 serves as its heart. While in Turbo mode, the light can shine with 1600 lumens of brightness for 1.2 hours. XT12GT reaches a maximum beam distance of 603.0 m. In low mode, the device can run for up to 200 h. The device uses a CR123A and an 18GT-36 18650 li-ion battery (same as in TESLA electric cars) with a capacity of 3600 mAh. The flashlight has a built-in charger with a magnetic tip. This will be made easier by a color LED that displays the battery's state of charge.

Furthermore, the flashlight incorporates Battery Capacity Indicator Light that displays the battery charge level to the user:
